News of Interest: Emilia DiMenco (WBDC Chicago) Is Ally For Women Business Owners

Emilia DiMenco (pictured) has become president and chief executive officer of the Women's Business Development Center in Chicago.  WBDC has always been a friend to WPO so we are delighted over Emilia's appointment and wish her the best of success.

"Our founders were such iconic women," DiMenco said. "And people knew what the organization did was important because they trusted Hedy [Ratner]. They knew she was an advocate for women, but they really didn't know as much as they should about the direct services that we provide. ... It's time to brand the center."

Event: WBDC Chicago Annual Conference 9/16

The Women Presidents' Organization will be exhibiting at the upcoming Women's Business Development Center Chicago 23nd Annual Entrepreneurial Woman's Conference where we have been a longstanding partner for many years.

Several WPO Chicago members plan to attend to network, learn and share best practices on how to continue down the path of double-digit business growth.

We are also fortunate to have Susan Diamond, Chief Learning Officer and Vice President of Facilitation from our New York headquarter office attending -- so be sure to stop by our Booth No. 616 to say "hello" and to learn more about our organization.

Event of Interest: WBDC Conference in Chicago 9/26-27

Come visit us at our WPO Booth No. 636 during the Women's Business Development Conference in Chicago September 26-27 at Navy Pier. Our national Director of Communications, Caitlin Jenkins, will be on hand to meet and greet folks and several WPO Chicago members plan to attend.

During the conference, a WPO Chicago member will be honored with the Rising Star Award; another is giving a keynote and still another serves as a panelist during the "Go Global" workshop! So it's not just about Martha!
