Excellent article, but I studied growth in-depth for over 20 years, and certain types of analysis can actually help companies avoid wasting resources on low potential--possibly even dead end--ventures; and also in some cases, the Growth Leaders Study credits broad experience when appropriate amount of risk may be more critical.
